House Complex at the Innsbrucker Ring

 Back to Projects list
Location
Munich, Germany
Year
2009

The facade illumination of this social housing complex is a prime example of an impressive nightly appearance, where no costly installation was required, but rather an intelligent handling of light using only simple methods. To create the striking effect of the building’s facade, the rearward wall of each pergola was coloured and illuminated with simple reflector strip lights. Thus eliminating the need for additional corridor lighting. A low budget project, without expensive color mixing lights providing an effective and high-value nightly appearance.
