Webinar: Towards Dynamic Environments

We can consider light as a two-way window between different worlds: the digital world and the physical world. It is the ubiquitous layer that leads us into cyber-physical environments in the present moment. This belief is central to Tapio Rosenius’ approach – the Finnish designer, innovator, artist and entrepreneur’s work seeks to create tangible connections between artificial light, digital futures, biomimetics and the human experience. In this webinar, he will use practical examples to explain experimental real-life applications of his approach.

The webinar will explore the principals behind cyber-physical spaces, and demonstrate the unique benefits of using digital content for lighting. Architecture will also feature prominently, as we discuss the principals behind algorithmic lighting control and consider them within an architectural context. The webinar will also present methodologies that integrate the architectural lighting design process with virtual reality and live digital content.

Attend this webinar to learn about all the above and more, as we touch on topics such as anticipatory architecture, ambient communication and surface as a service. Tapio will also provide tangible real-life examples and learnings from an EU-funded research program and other projects.
